My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was phenomenal. I've just finished it yesterday and I cannot stop thinking about the story and the characters.
Tartt has written the characters insanely good. They all have their own personality and outstanding features. What I most liked about these characters is that they all have their own flaws and that none of them are perfect people.
Because SPOILER WARNING (view spoiler)[ Richard Papen is an unreliable narrator (making the reader like him more than the other characters) (hide spoiler)], the book becomes more interesting to read. I would love to read the story from the perspective of other characters in the book such as Henry or Camilla.
I also think this book has multiple valuable meanings. One of them being the quote 'beauty is terror, what we call beautiful, we quiver before it.'
Overall, the writing style in this book was beautiful and really good. Sometimes, the descriptions were a bit long and tiring to read, but they added a lot to the story. I loved this book and will definitely read it again + recommend it to others!!
