It Ends with Us by Colleen HooverMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
To be honest, I am a bit sceptical about this book. I really enjoyed reading it, but there are a few things I want to mention:
First of all, Colleen Hoover is a magnificent writer and I really appreciate her work. Though, some things about her writing style threw me off a little bit. In a few (some spicy, and some other) scenes, Ryle can be a little abusive towards Lily. Not that no other book features abuse, it's just that these abusive moments are things considered to be 'normal' when this absolutely shouldn't be the case at all.
Secondly, there isn't a lot of depth in the characters in the book. This may be my personal preference (And this could differ for everyone), but I like my books better when I know more of the main and side characters. Something I would really love to see more of in this book by Colleen Hoover.
That mentioned, I really loved the overall vibe of the book and I would recommend it to other people. Keep in mind that this book deals with moments of (slight) abuse, but that aside, a really lovely romance read!!
